    1. Mercies and Miracles was like coming home to a warm and friendly group of ward members I almost felt as if I knew them from Jarvis first book, A Fresh Start in Fairhaven Though as many have indicated, this is a light and easy reading novel, nevertheless, I found it uplifting, occasionally instructive, and a pleasant way to spend 30 minutes on the treadmill for a week or so Light and easy is not the same as without value, and I have long since learned that, so long as the books I read are uplifti [...]

    2. I had barrowed this whole series and planned on reading all of the books but didn t get pasted this one the second in the series It was too boring I had liked the first one but this second one just kept explaining about what I had just read in the first one, added a ton of new characters that I had no pull to read about, and didn t hold my interest so I finally decided that there was no reason to read it if I weren t enjoying it So I stopped.

    3. This is Book 2 of The Fairhaven Chronicles and the further adventures of Bishop Jim Shepherd of the Fairhaven Ward I think what I like about this series is that Ms.Jarvis does a really nice job of presenting a picture of what it is like to experience the Spirit working in our lives and the faith necessary to allow the Spirit to do that for all of us.

    4. Oscar and I are enjoying reading this series together immensely I hope there will be than four books I want to savor each one The stories of Bishop Jim Shepherd and his family and ward members just make you feel so good Oscar mentioned that you do get emotionally invested with all the characters Love it

    5. I like her style of writing, descriptive without boring the reader She seems to have a deep understanding of what life could would be for a Mormon Bishop and his family, and the ability to convey the love and concern he has for those he serves.

    6. Just finished this one Nice follow up to the first book We get to hear about the families introduced in the first book And a twist involving Trish s friend makes some changes in the bishop s home Really good.

    7. Funny everyday LDS life type of book about a family and their adventures Cheesy at times, preachy at times, but an easy read a quick read Really pretty right on about ward members, callings and their interactions.

    8. I liked this book 2nd in the series better than the first one I think It was a little down to earth and a little less corny stereotyped.

    9. I enjoyed the first one so much, I had to read the next one I like this authors style Easy to read and relax while doing so.

    10. enjoyed book two in this series I think someone should write a story about the adventures of the Lewiston 3rd ward
