    1. Elizabeth Heiter delivers another chilling, gripping suspense novel in Book 2 of THE PROFILER series, VANISHED Reuniting with FBI profiler, Evelyn Baines, feels like reconnecting with your awesome, scarily smart, and terrifyingly accomplished friend Yet there s a fragility to Evelyn that makes her a complex and compelling character, an incident that stems from her own childhood brush with a serial killer When she was twelve, she and her friend were targeted and miraculously, Evelyn survived Her [...]

    2. A very good suspense with romantic elements in which the heroine, FBI Profiler Evelyn Bain travels to South Carolina to finally solve the mystery of her childhood friend s disappearance Lots of procedural work, a budding romance with another agent, and interesting exploration of the effects of childhood trauma After two books, Heiter is on my auto buy list But I would LOVE to have a bit romance thrown in, though what there is is sweet.

    3. This is the second book in a series featuring FBI Profiler Evelyn Baine.Evelyn s best friend was abducted 18 years ago The only clue the kidnapper left was a note a poem that seemed to indicate Evelyn was also being taken.Evelyn has waited all these years to find out what happened to her friend, in fact, it s why she joined the FBI She is about to get her wish. After all these years, another young girl has vanished leaving a note behind in the form of a nursery rhyme, the same as 18 years ago Eve [...]

    4. Spoiler Alert I read this book all the way through so you wouldn t have to You re welcome So there may well be spoilers within this review Vanished by Elizabeth Heiter is without a doubt one of the worst mysteries I have read in a long time The heroine, FBI profiler Evelyn Baine, is simply too stupid to live Okay, the first sign of trouble is when she insists she has to be involved in a case in which she is personally involved a serial killer who kidnapped her best friend when she was growing up [...]

    5. If you love a good thriller with a little romance this is the book for you This is the second in a series and yes you have to read the first but you will absolutely love both books. This is the story of FBI profiler Evelyn Baine. She is a strong female character that you will cheer for and want to keep reading about Loved this book.Loved the characters I highly recommend. This book grabs you from the first page and you just want to keep reading all night Look forward to the next in the series.

    6. My star rating for Vanished is 4 1 2 out of 5 stars My Blogging Reader s Review after reading an ARC Copy of VANISHED via BooksMoviesFandoms.wordpress Upon receiving a copy of Vanished by Elizabeth Heiter to read and review, I didn t know what to expect especially since this is the second novel of The Profiler Series I ll admit I haven t read the first book of this series but after reading this one, I am very interested in catching up with what I may have missed There are about five P.O.V s poin [...]

    7. 4.0 StarsAs a rule, I typically find that sequels are not as good as the original novel Therefore, I am delighted to find an exception, like this one, where I enjoyed this second novel even .Like the first book, the writing is still quite average, with decent characters My least favourite aspect of this series is the romance, but it was tolerable in this sequel While the book has its flaws, I honestly enjoyed the reading experience This story had an intriguing mystery with just enough action to [...]

    8. Excellent book And I m in edits, so I ve had to put it down, but it still kept me interested and entertained Well done.

    9. Hmm I m hitting quite a few novels lately that are just ho hum, and Vanished was no exception The story follows Evelyn Baine as she travels back to her hometown, where a girl has gone missing Kicker is, Evelyn herself was meant to be a kidnap victim of the Nursery Rhyme Killer eighteen years ago, so she puts her stubborn foot down and all but forces her way onto the case as the FBI s profiler But it s not just the killer who awaits her return, but the police officer who grilled her to the bone l [...]

    10. I received an eBook copy in exchanged for an honest review.Hey Guess what I just did it again I just read a part of a series book without really stating the series Yerp, I haven t read the first book Let s forget about that I love this Seriously Who is Elizabeth Heiter and why is it that nobody have told me about her Where was I when this was released Okay, I admit, I was shocked when I knew that this was part of a series because omygosh, this is illegal, I haven t read the first book yet And th [...]

    11. I understand why this book was the second one in this series, but I almost wish it had been the first It s better written than the first book, and those who tried the first book and gave up on the writer did themselves a real disservice by not reading the second one.FBI profiler Evelyn Baine is at work one day when the call she dreads comes in It s the mom of a girl Evelyn s age a girl who was abducted when the two were 12 and best friends Indeed, Evelyn was to have been one of the girls taken b [...]

    12. Evelyn Baine s best friend Cassie was taken by the Nursery Rhyme Killer when they were children It s one of the reasons that Evelyn became an FBI agent Now someone is kidnapping kids again in her home town.Evelyn goes back home to help with the investigation hoping to find out what happened to her friend all those years ago Jack is not happy to see her as he remembers her from long ago and thinks she will be to emotional to handle things.Evelyn starts to think he might be right when she lets her [...]

    13. Although I have not read the first book in this series, I did read Disarming Detective which is somewhat connected to this series I loved it and enjoyed reading another book about profilers The story was creepy and wonderfully convoluted Evelyn get a chance to finally track down the killer who kidnapped her best friend as a child and left her behind She throws herself into the investigation, but her tendency to go off half cocked, so to speak, gets her in trouble Kyle, an agent in a different FB [...]

    14. Vanished The Profiler Series 2 By Elizabeth Heiter Published By Harlequin Mira Pages 400Copy Courtesy of Thereadingroom Early ReviewerReviewed By tkA thriller that will have you leaving the lights on and the curtains drawn.Everyone s nightmare of the bogeyman This man is not hiding in the closet, but out in plain sight He could be a friend, a family member, a newspaper boy, and he is watching your children He stalks and chooses for a specific purpose He must have the perfect child, not just anyo [...]

    15. My star rating is 4 1 2 of 5 I will be honest, I haven t read the first of this series but was given the chance to read and review this one Without giving anything away, the mystery of this suspense story was quite captivating The writing is great and the characters really pull you into the flow of their intertwined lives I completely recommend this novel for readers who enjoy dark, suspenseful, mystery novels that will keep you guessing till the very end like this one does Evelyn and Cassie are [...]

    16. A good mystery with lots of plausible suspects to keep up the mystery and suspense The downside of this book was the lead, Evelyn She is billed as this strong heroine, and throughout the book she was portrayed as this week, stupid woman As an FBI agent she continually made stupid decisions, put herself in harms way and had to be rescued by yet another male coworker, and as a profiler she had no clue That was really frustrating, but having read the first book in this series and really liking it, [...]

    17. This book had so much repetition that it could probably be cut down by a 1 4 I definitely knew Evelyn wouldn t be able to move on until she knew what happened to Cassie The repetition did not enhance the story, it made it drag. There is a glaring error at the conclusion Evelyn had lose her gun and it had been picked up by the Uncle Yet when she goes down in the cellar at the first thing she does is draw her gun Pretty magical gun like a Potterseque artifact.Have deleted from my Kindle never to b [...]

    18. Ms Heiter does it again The Profiler series is the best new series out there Hunted was book 1 and had great suspense Book 2, Vanished, was amazing Most times when the first book in a series is great I find the second one just doesn t measure up That s not the case with Vanished It grabbed me from page one and kept me guessing to the end You think you know who done it only to be shocked and surprised over and over I found my new favorite author in Ms Heiter Keep it up

    19. An unsolved case that has haunted an FBI profiler for 18 years comes back to the forefront in Heiter s followup to Hunted Evelyn Baine is a compelling protagonist, between her backstory of joining the FBI and the details of her romantic life Baine sells it and makes it a worthwhile reading experience RT Book Reviews.miniseries The Profiler, book 2

    20. Fantastic bookI did not think Elizabeth could top her first book Hunted but she did tenfold Would recommend this book to anyone

    21. This is one damn fine book I love this series Highly recommend you read it You ll be on the edge of your seat

    24. This is not one of my normal genres to read, but I found this to be a really good book. The pacing was great, the characters were people, the plot twists were just twisty enough, and the writing was really quite excellent.I was quite impressed, and I may well seek out other books by Heiter.Highly recommended

    25. Predictable, I figured it out fairly quickly I felt Evelyn kept going off on her own way to much for a seasoned agent, especially when it keeps landing her in trouble

    26. I liked this book I thought that it was good but I was bummed at part of the end the story kept going along nicely I would recommend this book to others.
