    4. The following review concerns the narration of the audiobook version. When were the audiobook narration standards lowered I remember listening to books in the past, knowing that every word they said was pronounced correctly There was such comfort in their reliability This narrator, Cris Dukehart, is of the newer, lazier variety Here are some of her mispronunciations cerulean, Henrico, detritus, lacquered, and Parham All of these could have been easily verified Also, her voice is somewhat robotic [...]

    14. I recently received an advanced reviewer s copy of The Way of The Guilty by Jennifer Stanley shows a release day of August 31st The Way of The Guilty is the third book in the Hope Street Church Mystery series Though I have read and enjoyed several of Stanley s other series, this was the first in this series that I had read I had high expectations and I was not disappointed I think the Richmond Times Dispatch says it best Stanley never preaches to her readers, but lets deeds, not words, accomplis [...]

    15. The Graves of the Guilty by Ellery Adams is the third book in A Hope Street Church Mysteries This is a lovely Christian cozy mystery Valentine s Day is fast approaching and Cooper Lee has high hopes for this holiday with her boyfriend, Nathan However, Ashley, Cooper s high maintenance sister, finds a dead body in the trunk of her car Miguel, the dead person, worked at Love Motors which implicates Lincoln, Ashley s husband, and the dealership When another person is killed, Hector, and his mother [...]

    16. Graves of the Guilty is the third book in the Hope Street Church series While you may wish to read the first two books to get all the background information on the characters, it isn t necessary to do so I like Christian books, and although this series is well written it doesn t have a big Christian message The main character has joined a church, but then again, the first book mentions that she lived with her ex boyfriend.I am thoroughly enjoying the likeable characters with a good plot in each [...]

    17. This is a nice, solid mystery that moves along well and comes to a good conclusion I liked the characters although I did find Grammy a little annoying Since it s the third book in a series, I did feel I lacked a little background information on Cooper, but that didn t spoil my enjoyment of the book Some of the characters are members of a Bible study group and I thought some of them could have been fleshed out There are also detailed discussions from the Bible study that aren t really pertinent [...]

    18. While I can t find myself warming to this series as much as the other Ellery Adams books, I think that people who enjoyed the first two books will enjoy this one as well Do you need to read the first two I don t think so This seems to be a good standalone. In this third book of the series, Cooper, and her family and friends, find themselves at a crossroads Cooper is torn between two men, one dangerous and new, one comfortable but seeming to move away Her sister s husband is moving further away th [...]

    19. I think this might be the last of the Hope Street Church mysteries There aren t any others on the list and the way this one ended could be a perfect happy ending while leaving things open for future books, if are able to be written. The mystery itself was awesome and just complicated enough Copper is a smart sleuth and easy to like And since I read the other two in the series, I was able to skip over a lot of the bible study items and passages Again don t get me wrong God is important but everyo [...]

    20. Murder, drugs, stolen cars, smugglers and Russians What do these things have in common They are all parts of The Graves of the Guilty by Ellery Adams It s the third book in her Hope Street Church Mysteries series This time Cooper and her Bible study group get caught up in a car theft ring and drug smuggling by way of a murder victim found in the trunk Cooper s sister s car How did it get there Who put it there An even better question is Who is the murderer I love this series Ellery Adam s charac [...]

    21. Great Book This was a great book it is the third book in the A Hope Street Church Mystery Series Cooper is a member of the Hope Street Church bible study group Cooper is looking forward to spending Valentine s Day will her new boyfriend, Nathan Things change with her sister Ashley finds a body and is then charged with the murder Cooper and her friends from the Bible study group once again have to start investigating to prove that Ashley is innocent I am looking forward to reading the next book i [...]

    22. This book continues the story of the Good Hope Bible Study group The characters have developed and began grab you as they live their lives The story takes a violent way Ashley finds a body in the trunk of her car Call Cooper who has had a flat tire Cooper is rescue by Edward who takes her to Ashley home Cooper starts looking into the murder to help her sister Trish of the Bible group has cancer I would read another book in this series Full Disclosure I received a free copy from Beyond the Page [...]

    23. THE WAY OF THE GUILTY is the best of the series As in the previous 2 volumes, the action takes place in Richmond,VA,and is centered around 7 friends who have bonded through their Bible study group As always, the setting and characterization are impeccably portrayed, but what sets this one apart is the convoluted, devious, delicious plot It s pretty amazing when all is finally revealed I read cozy series, in part because I love to see the character growth and development as the stories unfold, an [...]

    24. We return to Hope Street Church with Cooper Lee and her friends from the Bible study group Another murder in this small town makes for a delightful cozy mystery in this series This time the Russian Mob and her sister s family are the focus and Cooper has a vested interest to clear her family This series was written and published in 2010 under a pen name and has been updated and reworked I love Ellery Adams and look forward to many of her books.

    25. I like the characters in this series but I m afraid I m going to have to stop reading it It is advertised as a church mystery so I expect it to be pretty clean and upright but this one got to the overly preachy stage for me.The mystery was well done but I found myself avoiding the book, which is a sure sign that I m no longer enjoying the series.Stanley writes several series, so I ll stick with those and let this series go on without me.

    26. The working class protagonist and her down home family are the focus of this third book in the series, which I received as a review copy. The same solid writing gives cozy mystery readers what they want clues, amateur detectives, realistic people, light romance, some humor. And there are light Christian elements in the story, as always, that bring hope to the people involved and friendship and support when times get tough.

    27. To me this was the best book in the series so far I think a lot of it has to do with the sense of familiar with the characters, however, the main reason was the emotion and variety of mysteries this murder covered. To say much would create a spoiler and I do not wish to stop you reading this note There was suspense, murder, social problems, societal problems, and romance in this book I feel this author has outdone herself and eagerly await her next novel.

    28. I would really rate this 4.5 stars, but that wasn t an option.I d never read a cozy murder mystery having to do with a bible study group It s a unique idea I really enjoy reading about the friendships in this group.
