    1. An example of how a don t ask, don t tell relationship affects a young bride in Regency times Thank goodness she got a second chance at finding someone who truly loved her I voluntarily reviewed this free ebook.

    2. 1.5 starsIf Rachel was afraid of physical contact, then why did she wear a gown that had a low neckline at the back during the Walker s ball I don t know how to describe Lucien Was he stupid or simply an asshole He knew Rachel s past her life when her first husband was still alive, but he still gave her a firm handling Shouldn t he be gentler with her Lastly, I don t understand Stanforth s, Rachel s blackmailer, threat He didn t want Rachel to expose that they were lovers Which was absurd and st [...]

    3. Her a young widow and mother being blackmailed by the lover of her gay dead husband, who used to beat her before sex so he could get aroused, over some silly letters she wroteHim an arrogant jerk who wants to deal with the blackmailer but also knows HE can show her what desire really is, and his appalling technique includes spanking this physically abused woman when she is naughty Hated them both in this mediocre excuse for hot improper Regency sex between an abused woman and a man who thinks th [...]

    4. As instant attractions goes this one was fast.Rachel appeals to Lucien for help She is being blackmailed and she doesn t know which way to turn. There is a kidnapping, a horrid villain, stories of past abuse and then on the other side of the coin, lots of loving, sex and growing trust between these two people The story is written so that it is really easy to read and it is a page turner of note Enjoy

    5. I really enjoyed this book She was from an abusive marriage, with a now dead husband and a four year old son He was an aristocratic who could find missing things.Their initial meeting did not go well, but he soon figured out what was up, and agreed to help her I wish it could have been longer.

    6. I couldn t put it down So well written you get pulled in from the start Realistic and compelling and very sexy

    7. Passionate love story, situation nice thriller My only issue is with the speed of the love affair I missed a bit of chasing.

    8. FINAL DECISION This was a simple, easy read I enjoyed the read, but it wasn t particularly deep or memorable I would classify it as an enjoyable one time readE STORY Lady Rachel Shaw is recovering from a bad marriage when she gets in trouble with a blackmailer who has incriminating letters written by her which if revealed could ruin her On he recommendation of her friend, Rachel approaches Lucien Brooke, Viscount Brooketon who is known for his ability to deal with sticky situations Lucien, at fi [...]

    9. Hard to believe she gets over her issues so suddenly, but if you can get past that then the rest of the book is pretty good.

    10. AwesomeBrilliant as always.Carole makes reading her books an easy pleasure. Can t wait for the next book in the series.
