    1. I ve said it before, I ll say it again every Boxcar Children book where they don t live in the boxcar any is GARBAGEfrowl worstbestsellers

    2. The book I read was called The Mystery of the Purple Pool This was created by Gertrude Chandler Warner This book is really amazing I was the first mystery book I read and it made get right into liking mystery books This book really affected me, it turn reading into something fun instead of boring This was the third boxcar children book I read and I enjoyed the last 2 but not as much as I enjoyed this one.The book was about 4 kids named Alden with their grandpa going to stay in New York for the f [...]

    3. I read this series when i was young I loved revisiting this stories for the reading challenge this year The kids are super cute and have such a fun time discovering the mystery The most unbelievable part of this whole story was that their grandfather let them wonder anywhere they wanted to go through New York City The city was New York City of my youth including a reference to seeing the Twin Towers It is strange to come across references like that and knowing what is going to become the city It [...]

    4. None of the Boxcar Children books are particularly good, but this is particularly bad The familiar characters are annoying than ever And this is pretty much the most inane mystery ever Who dyed the pool purple Who CARES Why can t you still swim in it It s not The Mystery of the Acid Filled Pool If you wanted to get a hotel manager fired and take their job, couldn t you come up with something better than what would be considered by any reasonable ownership a series of harmless pranks outside of [...]

    5. I have to say, this novel was absolutely less annoying than the first two The Boxcar Children and Surprise Island Yes, it is surely dated references to the twin towers, etc yet still relevant than the original twenty or so books There s no way I d ever leave a fourteen year old in charge of four other children under the age of twelve in New York City for a day, that s for sure, but the way they viewed things and solved the mystery was not so unbelievable The mystery itself certainly wasn t life [...]

    6. This was my favorite Boxcar Children book when I was a kid, and I loved mysteries when I was in school I loved to see how the four kids always stuck together and tried to solve things Though it became frustrating having to wait to the end to figure out what would happen As I look back on it today, this is probably the book I remember least about, as it has been years.

    7. Grandpa takes the kids to New York and stay in his favorite hotel Of course, all the times he s been there things have been fine, but as soon as the kids show up, everything goes wrong The kids are on the case and solve the mystery when a note is so conveniently dropped I mean anyone could of got this one done

    8. If you like mystery books this is the book for you is about four kids that go to a hotel and some one puts purple dye in the pool, turns off the elevator when they are in it, and switched salt and sugarere is danger around every corner.

    9. This was my favorite boxcar children book EVER when I was in second grade I adored the boxcar children and read them like some people eat a box of chocolates Still I got through all of them by halfway through the first grade and they re not the best re reads.

    10. Mystery of the Purple Pool I don t understand why it was named that It only tells once that it was purple If I had named it, I would have named it Mystery at the Motel or something simmaler It was interesting though.

    11. Kinda dramaticThe boxcar kids see everything as a mystery, so was not my favorite, I wouldn t recommend this to my freisnd

    12. The children had to find out who dyed the pool purple and filled the hole with really burning hot water It was really a mystery

    13. When I was 12 I took this on our road trip to New York and insisted on doing everything the Alden s had done when they were there.

    14. One of my favorite childhood series I read over a hundred of them The first 50 or so were in order after that I read whatever book I could get my hands on

    15. I used to love the Boxcar children when I myself was a child It actually got me interested in reading and opened the door for me.
