Sweet, chaste, often funny pastoral romance set in a New Zealand sheep and horse ranch I really loved the overall picture with the secondary characters, particularly the heroine s father At one point, he gets so exasperated by the soap opera brought on by his two daughters and the man they are fighting over that he asks his wife to bring him a bowl of water so he can wash his hands off the whole lot DThere was also quite a bit about jockeys getting ruddy boils from sitting in the saddle for too [...]

    2. An older book with outdated references and sexism It was, however, an interesting read and a good example of it s time period.

    3. Great book with good plot Has no sex, which lets you focus on the actual story and what s going on.
